报告简介：

   This talk will cover three topics that are currently under debate in the field of bilingualism. I will review recent development in these topics and introduce some of my own studies. The first topic is lexical representations in bilinguals. I will show that bilinguals unconsciously activate translation equivalence of their native language when processing words in their second language. The second topic is cognitive advantage in bilinguals. I will discuss how within-subject design can shed new light onto the language processing context effects on cognitive processing in bilinguals. The third topic is language control. I will showcase an innovative proactive approach to neuroscience when studying the cognitive mechanism of language control in bilinguals

报告人简介：

吴燕京，男，2004年毕业于英国威尔士班戈大学心理学本科。毕业论文获英国心理学协会（British Psychology Society）年度最佳本科生毕业论文奖。同年获得英国教育部国际学生全额奖学金（Overseas Research Student Scheme）留校直博。博士期间利用电子生物学实验方法首次证明了双语交互效应的潜意识存在，从神经机制层面为经典语言学理论模型（如Revised hierarchy model）提供了结论性实验证据，是神经语言学领域的突破性成果，被Nature Review Neuroscience《自然神经学评论》列为2007年的国际科研亮点（Research Highlights）。该研究于2007年被国际著名期刊PNAS作为封面文章报道，并被大众媒体广泛转载（如美国著名杂志Observer “观察家”）。目前就职于英国谢菲尔德大学（泰晤士高等教育排名世界前一百）任终身讲师。主要研究方向为双语加工和学习的神经机制，以及语言与认知功能的互相影响。以主要作者身份发表SCI及SSCI收录论文14篇，其中包括美国科学院院刊（PNAS）等高影响因子论文。总引用率超过550次。单篇论文引用率超过240次。Google Scholar学者评分h－index 12。曾经主持两项英国科学院（British Academy）科研项目（相当于国家自然基金委员会一般项目），若干项国际合作项目。已培养三名博士生，其中一人为第一导师，另两人为第二导师。曾为心理学，语言学，认知神经学领域内十余个SCI或SSCI期刊审稿，包括高影响因子期刊Current Biology等。
