题目：Revisiting the earliest electrophysiological correlate of familiar face recognition

报告简介：

It is a long-lasting and interesting question: how fast can people recognize a familiar face in long-term memory (e.g., friends, colleagues, celebrities)? Event-related brain potential (ERP), a non-invasive technique with high temporal resolution in measurement, has been widely used to investigate this question. In previous ERP studies, the time course of familiar face recognition is usually determined by when a face familiarity effect (i.e., ERP differences between familiar and unfamiliar faces) emerges. However, it is important to clarify whether an observed familiarity effect genuinely reflects cognitive processes underlying face recognition, or mere low-level visual difference between stimulus sets. This talk will present our recent work which aimed to find out the earliest recognition-related face familiarity effect with a systematic investigation of the association between an observed familiarity effect and the behavioral performance of face recognition.

黄婉怡，太阳成集团tyc151cc，丁玉珑教授团队特聘副研究员。本科就读于华南师范大学心理学院（2005.9-2009.7），后于太阳成集团tyc151cc硕博连读（2009.9-2015.12），2016.7至今在太阳成集团tyc151cc工作。研究方法：心理物理法，脑电（ERPs）。研究兴趣：面孔识别，视觉注意和学习，以及认知老龄化等。部分研究成果发表在Psychophysiology, Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance, PloS one 等学术杂志。
